What an incredible experience our Martians had at the Career Kickoff and Tigers Game on Wednesday, September 23! With beautiful Michigan weather and more than 50 students in attendance, the day was filled with opportunities to explore future careers and postsecondary pathways while continuing to focus on our mission of Preparing Students for Life.
Students had the opportunity to interact with representatives from more than 60 colleges, skilled trades, and career-focused programs, asking questions and learning about the many options available after high school. One of the highlights of the day was a special surprise as students were escorted through the Tigers tunnel and onto the field at Comerica Park. While there, they learned about the wide variety of careers within the Tigers organization, the educational pathways that can lead to those careers, and what it takes to work for a professional sports organization.
After a day of career exploration and learning, students were able to relax, enjoy the game with their classmates, and create lasting memories. Events like these provide valuable opportunities to hear students' questions, learn about their aspirations, and help them connect their interests to future possibilities. We are proud of our students for representing Goodrich High School so well and for continuing to stay Martian STRONG!
